    DYAC Camp Meeting 2021

    Updated: May 27

DYAC Camp Meeting 2021 was held at Mt. Aetna Retreat Center in Hagerstown, MD on the weekend of October 20th-23rd, 2021. There were 20 attendees including 9 children. It was a blessing to see each other physically and spiritually connected after such a long time without fellowship.

DYAC joined in DEAR's series of "Outpouring of the Holy Spirit," presented by Jason Kimbrough. The other times were spent discussing the details of the holy spirit in our lives with various speakers: Esther Doss, Nicolette Reynoso, and Amanda Colgan.

We had a Lord's Supper led by Paul Kelly, the new 3ADM Speaker/Director. Some of the individuals shared some touching testimonies. On Saturday night, the last meeting with Amanda Colgan from the DYAC group presented the Trinity from several books as resources, and she enthusiastically shared with us what she had been researching. It was very rich and informative!

We had a special recognition for Amanda Colgan who served the DYAC from the beginning. See the video! https://youtu.be/_N0MHKBco7U

    DYAC Conference 2018

    Updated: Apr 26, 2021

    October 12 to 15th 2018

    @ Hebron, Kentucky

Deaf Young Adults for Christ (DYAC) had their 11th annual conference in Hebron, Kentucky on October 12-15th, 2018 with a high record of 28 people. The theme this year is “Called To Serve” based on the Bible verse Ephesians 2:10.

Before starting the conference, some of the DYAC members grabbed the chance to exercise with Farrah Gooding-Santiago as their “boot-camp instructor”. They have learned several tips of squeezing exercise into their busy schedules. And yes, we ended up feeling very sore but felt great!

On Friday and Saturday, Josiah Kelly, Farrah Gooding-Santiago, Amanda Colgan and Joshua Piccerillo gave presentations on keeping & testing our faith and about personal ministry to others. Several DYAC members also helped with devotions and worship service. They enjoyed the theme song, “Our God is an Awesome God.”

On Sunday, the group went to Creation Museum during their annual Deaf Day event. The museum supports the fact that God created the universe and the Bible’s account of six days creation. DYAC members shared their learning experiences at the end of the day which inspires us to keep our eyes on Jesus.

At the end of the conference, we ended up with over-ordered food. DYAC members helped to load the food in our rental van. Nicolette Reynoso and Farrah Gooding-Santiago delivered it to the homeless shelter nearby. The shelter greatly appreciated it.

Many thanks to NAD, DMC, and 3ADM for their continuous support in our DYAC ministries.

Furthermore, DYAC works with Adventist youths to learn more about themselves and their gifts from God as they work together for our church. Our goal is to give young adults opportunities to practice their skills in service for God in support His plan for us. If you know someone who is between the ages of 18 – 38, please encourage them to contact DYAC at DYACDeaf@gmail.com and learn more about the wonderful promises God has shared with us.
